1500 trees for the 15th anniversary of Nestlé Waters Direct Dar Natury!

On 13 September 2008 “Committed by nature” employees of Nestlé Waters Direct Dar Natury from all over Poland during a couple of hours planted 1500 tress! In this original and ecological way they celebrated the 15th anniversary of their company.

Nestlé Waters Direct Dar Natury for several years consequently has taken care of natural environment. Investments for this aim were estimated for nearly PLN 2 mln. Being the leader on the market of natural water delivery to offices and households, Nestlé Waters Direct Dar Natury participates in creating social awareness for taking care of ecology. Therefore, as “Committed by nature” we decided to celebrate with the Nature our 15th anniversary.

Proecological integration event of the employees of Nestlé Waters Direct Dar Natury took place marked by recreation and mutual entertainment outdoors. The employees took part in a number of competitions and games entitled “Summer of forest people” placed in front of the scene. A few sport competitions took place as well. Everyone could take part in local attractions such as backing a bread and wicker basket making.

The event highlight was the action of planting 1500 trees for the 15th anniversary of Dar Natury existence in Poland. The new “Dar Natury forest” was marked with a special commemorative plaque; each of the participants received a spade with engraved “Committed by Nature” logo as a souvenir. A forester supervised the tree planting and the employees of nursery helped him. The anniversary forest covered the area of 1 ha, on which during a few hours 250 spruces, 250 firs, 250 larches and 250 Japanese Maples and 150 pines, 100 European cornels, 100 gingko bilobas, 100 alders and 50 magnolias. Four- and five-year trees were selected for planting.

The 15th anniversary of our company is a great opportunity to announce a photo contest for our employees entitled: "Go to Iceland". We would also like our employees to catch in lens frame their vision of “Commitment by nature”, show how they see the beauty of nature and the surrounding world. The photos were taken by the employees during holidays. The results of the photo contest were presented on ecological picnic in a ballot for 15 works chosen by the commission. Two winners Aneta Książek - Rowicka, Specialist for Environment Protection and Józef Milczewski, Regional Coordinator for Strategic Clients, whose photos received the highest number of votes, visited as an award picturesque Iceland, the land of ice and fire. Ceremonial presentation of awards – a 5-day trip to Iceland - took place on the scene in the present of the representatives of Nestlé Waters Direct Dar Natury: Włodzimierz Pytlak – Country Business Manager and Zofia Bakoń – Financial Director.

The anniversary photo was the great attraction of the picnic. Commemorative photo of all event participants was taken from a balcony. The employees stood in such a way to create anniversary logo visible from height.

The employees, who have worked for the company for 15 years, i.e. from the beginning of its operation, were recognized in a special way. Jan Wiesław Cieślak – European Project Manager, Tadeusz Kowalczyk – Senior Adviser from Lublin Customer Service Centre, Jerzy Łukasiak – Director of Production and Technical Service from Częstoniew Production Plant, Roman Jakubowski – Conservator from Częstoniew Production Plant received congratulations and souvenirs: NWDirect golden badge and Tissot watch. The awards were given by Włodzimierz Pytlak and Zofia Bakoń on the picnic scene.

Anniversary ecological picnic ended with extraordinary show. Fountains, light, music synchronized in mutual operation appeared in different interactions, rising and falling, alternating streams of water more or less dynamically regarding the pace and character of the music, colourful fountains danced according to planned choreography. ZAYAZD country band together with the participants of the event sang “Dar Natury Song”… with the motto that "Committed by Nature” is the way of life, which is followed by the employees of Nestlé Waters Direct Dar Natury every day.
